Have you ever tried to do a simple Google search for surrounding skate competitions?

If you have, then you understand that it's typically a waste of time, especially if you hadn't heard about an event beforehand. Hell, sometimes it almost even seems as if the actual companies and organizations who host the competitions don't know their own schedules either, but we're here to change that.

It is our hope that this calendar will become a major collaborative effort, centered around creating an always up-to-date source of information on Wisconsin, Minnesota, and Illinois, skate competitions (though initial focus will be on Wisconsin). Eventually, skateboarding events in general will also make their way in, though on a separate interface. Using Google Calendars as a backbone, the functionality includes:

the ability to add single events, or an entire calendar's worth, directly to your own Google Calendar

set email reminders for hours, days, or even weeks, on an event by event basis

Google Map integration that automatically pin-points park locations (great for parks with no actual street number)

sync and share events with friends, who can then confirm/deny, taking some of the guesswork out of "so who's down?"
